R. Nash Thomas – Managing Attorney
I was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and grew up in Grove, Oklahoma, on Grand Lake, which is tucked away in northeast Oklahoma. After earning a degree in Economics from the University of Arkansas, I returned home and attended law school at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Growing up near the lake, I developed a love of the outdoors and spent much of my time fishing and swimming. To this day, some of my favorite time is spent fishing on the lake with my Dad.
After graduating from law school, I spent the first several years of my career defending insurance companies. Mostly, this work centered around car wrecks and what’s commonly known as ‘slip and fall’ injuries. Working as an insurance defense lawyer also afforded me the opportunity to defend interstate trucking collisions and contractor/subcontractor injuries.
As one of Parrish DeVaughn’s litigation attorneys, I along with my team, strive to make sense of the legal environment for you. We do this by being accountable to our clients. Too often, lawyers overlook the impact an injury has on a person’s life and underestimate the importance of communication. Not at Parrish DeVaughn. Here, we start with the initial client conversation and continue to provide guidance and communication throughout your claim. Whether your claim settles or proceeds into litigation, we ensure you always know where you stand.
If you feel you have been injured as a result of someone else’s carelessness, don’t hesitate to give us a call. One step at a time, we promise to earn your trust and deliver the result you deserve.
Barrett Ford Fuller – Injury Lawyer
My name is Barrett Fuller and I am an associate attorney here at Parrish DeVaughn. Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, I have lived in this great state my entire life and I am a proud Putnam City North High School alumnus. After receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Oklahoma State University in 2009, I went on to receive my Juris Doctor at Oklahoma City University School of Law.
I am passionate about upholding the rights of those who have been injured as a result of the negligence of others. It is my goal to provide clients with the attention and communication they deserve while doing everything I can to ensure they are compensated for their injuries.
When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, attending Oklahoma State sporting events, hanging with my dog Hooch, and watching Russell Westbrook dunk on opponents.
Nathan Rex – Injury Lawyer
My name is Nathan Rex and I am a litigation attorney at Parrish DeVaughn. I am originally from North Las Vegas, Nevada and I moved to Oklahoma City in 2010. I am married to the love of my life Penny Rex, and I am the father of two amazing children. I am a huge sports fan and I played four years of college basketball. I graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law and I was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 2013.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing and watching sports, and going to the lake. I take pride every day in fighting for my clients to get the compensation they deserve.
Taren Lord Halvorson Cabelka – Injury Lawyer
Thank you for taking a moment to learn a little bit more about me, as I hope I will be able to learn more about you in the near future. My name is Taren ‘Lord-Halvorson’ Cabelka, a Virginia-born, Colorado-raised, Oklahoma attorney. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter (I will more than gladly show off my library of pictures of her), and dog, Scooter (you may see him wandering the halls of the Parrish DeVaughn offices – do not worry, he is friendly); being outdoors; watching the Minnesota Vikings and Baltimore Orioles play; cheering on my alma mater, The University of Colorado football team (Go Buffs!); and working on my writing skills (I hope to one day author a children’s book to add to my current publications: A Celebration of Young Poets (2003) and Why Wait Until We Die: Living Probate in a New Light, 37 Okla. City U. L. Rev. 543 (2012)).
I moved to Oklahoma in 2010, after graduating from University of Colorado with my B.A. in Political Science and History, when I received a scholarship for law school at Oklahoma City University School of Law. During law school, I served as Resource Editor for Law Review, interned for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District and Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office. In 2013, I graduated from law school, cum laude, sat for the Oklahoma Bar Exam, and that same year was admitted to practice before the Oklahoma Supreme Court and all Oklahoma District Courts. Since gaining these admissions, I have also been admitted to Oklahoma’s three federal courts (United States District Courts for the Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma), our federal appellate court (the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit), and even the Chickasaw Nation’s Tribal Court.
I am truly passionate about my work and I thoroughly enjoy being a voice for my clients when dealing with insurance companies and defendants. Prior to joining the Parrish DeVaughn team, my practice involved insurance defense, bad faith, and personal injury law. I hope you will give us a call, I would love the opportunity to work for you.
