According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a crash in Meeker on Monday, August 31, took the life of a passenger in a vehicle that left the road and wrecked. The accident occurred at approximately 2 o’clock in the morning.

Vehicle Rolls Over

According to troopers, a car with two occupants was westbound on 1060 Road, west of 3336 Road, when the vehicle veered to the right for unknown reasons. It then left the roadway, hit a ditch and rolled over.

Passenger Does Not Survive

A 25-year-old male passenger was not wearing a seat belt, and the upended vehicle reportedly trapped him. Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene of the crash, according to News OK.

The 28-year-old female motorist is from McLoud, according to authorities. She was not wearing a seat belt either, although there was no initial report regarding any injuries that she may have suffered.
