Stacie Lindsey
Chisholm Elementary - Third Grade

Stacie was my daughter's third grade teacher. That year was a rough year for us, in that we buried all of our parents. My father in law died on our end of summer vacation in Colorado and we had to stay behind to wait for the body to be released which was immediately followed by a funeral in Texas, meaning neither of my kids were able to go to information day or start school on time. Mrs. Lindsey called my daughter and talked to her and told her about her third grade class and reassured her when she couldn't be there. Also, she communicated with me weekly to let me know how they were adjusting after the death of grandpa immediately followed by my mom going to the hospital and then being placed on hospice. Personally it was a really rough year for us but having a teacher who loved on my daughter and didn't let her fall behind academically was one thing I didn't have to worry about. When my mom passed later that year she got together with 2 other teachers and brought us dinner. This is my daughter's last year of elementary school and I know it's the teachers she has had at Chisholm that she is going to miss the most, even though I know they all have thoroughly prepared her for middle school.
